Knight K6 (1973) Overstrung Acoustic Piano (Restored to New Standard 2018)
Knight pianos were established in 1936 by Alfred Knight. In 1955, they moved to a new factory in Loughton, Essex, where this particular piano was built. Knight pianos were one of the most respected makers of British pianos in the mid 20th century, resulting in Alfred Knight being appointed OBE for his services to music and to musical education in 1966. Many of their instruments were bought for schools and colleges, where their quality build would be tested to the utmost! This K6 model is presented in a Walnut satin finish and is a very elegant modern design. It has a full 88 note keyboard and responsive light to medium touch. The tone is mellow and rounded, not too bright, with a potent bass and strong Tenor. Ideal for all levels of player, from beginner to advanced. Comes with new adjustable stool, five year warranty, free Leinster delivery, and is tuned on arrival. Tuning thereafter is 80 per year.
Configuration - Overstrung / Underdamped
