B. Squire
Fully Restored & Partially Rebuilt B. Squire Upright Piano, Circa 1936
B. Squire pianos are fairly unusual in the piano world. Not the pianos themselves, but the fact that the "B" stands for Betsy, the wife who took over the company after the death of her husband, William. By the time this piano was manufactured, the B. Squire brand had been taken over by Kemble, who were producing many of the British pianos at this time, this instrument being one of them.
This particular piano is presented in an attractive grained Walnut cabinet, that is stripped and French Polished by hand, with all brassworks and screws being repolished to a high standard. The tone is soft and mellow, with good key response, and piano is ideal for a beginner up to Grade 6, or beyond if you wished to stick with it. Piano can be traded back for the full price you paid. The action and keyboard have also been reconditioned, with new tapes, springs, bushings, felts throughout.
